The UX tooling Engineering team is expanding and looking for smart, ambitious, and creative full stack Engineers. In this role, you will contribute to the next iteration of our design system, delivering the HTML, CSS and JavaScript for enterprise-level UI components, built with the latest web technologies. Your work will also involve partnering with product managers, designers, accessibility and enterprise cloud teams, to create robust experiences that are accessible to all and used by millions of developers across the globe.

Your Core Skillset
We consider these skills to be essential for success in this role:

• 6+ years of experience in UI/UX development within cross-functional teams using modern frontend technology stacks.
• Strong JavaScript skills, with a solid foundation in native JavaScript, its patterns, and experience with Web Components or frameworks like React, Vue, Angular, or Ember.
• Prototyping abilities in Python, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with a focus on quickly iterating based on user feedback.
• Experience with modern UI frameworks and a tinkering mindset for trying new tools and approaches.
• Proficiency with Salesforce Design System and the Salesforce platform (bonus).
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities, ensuring smooth user experiences.
• End-to-end product development expertise, from concept through deployment and delivery, including working with Git/GitHub and integrations like Heroku.
• Experience with front-end testing frameworks, understanding the importance of automated tests and writing effective test cases.
• Agile development experience, working iteratively with teams to deliver high-quality products.
• Collaborative mindset: Enthusiastic about working closely with designers and iterating on ideas.
• Curiosity and continuous learning: A proactive learner, staying current with the latest web technologies and continually improving skills.
• Attention to details, ensuring that the final product aligns with design principles and user needs.
• Proactive and initiative-driven, embracing experimentation over perfection to rapidly prototype and test new ideas.

Your Side Skills & Interests
While these skills are not critical for success in this role, having an interest in growing your skills in these areas will be helpful when dealing with your day-to-day work.

• Familiarity with UX design principles and tools like - Figma, Sketch, etc.
• Knowledge on Design Systems (SLDS, etc) and their architecture
• Demonstrate attention to detail, with the ability to match design specs.
• Experience with AI-powered development tools
• An interest in open source software
