Summary

As a Senior Platform System Architect, Silicon at Google, you'll be part of a team developing custom silicon solutions for Google's products. You'll influence Tensor SoC architecture decisions for optimal Power Performance Area (PPA), working cross-functionally with Software/Hardware architects and design teams. Responsibilities include leveraging a data-driven approach through profiling, simulation, and modeling to drive consensus on architectural decisions. You'll also lead the development of architecture specifications, system design documentation, and workload analysis to define future SoC architecture. The role requires expertise in computer architecture, mobile/embedded SoC architecture, and Android architecture, with a focus on improving user experience with Generative AI technologies.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • 5+ years computer architecture experience
  • 3+ years Mobile/Embedded SoC experience
  • Experience with system architecture decisions
  • Knowledge of software/hardware IP interactions
Good to have:
  • Master's/PhD in relevant field
  • 5+ years experience with Mobile/Embedded SoCs for optimal system design
  • Knowledge of Android Architecture, ML architecture, PPA trade-offs

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with computer architecture concepts, including microarchitecture, cache hierarchy, pipelining, and memory subsystems.
  • 3 years of experience working with Mobile/Embedded SoC architecture or use case system design.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture.
  • 5 years of experience working with Mobile/Embedded SoCs related to optimal system design to improve use case level power and performance.
  • Experience driving system architecture decisions across Software/Hardware teams within a large organization to build up the consensus and translate ideas into architecture specifications.
  • Knowledge of interactions between software and hardware IP blocks, general and special purpose compute units.
  • Knowledge of Android Architecture, Mobile SoC architecture, ML architecture, Computer Architecture, PPA trade-offs.

  • Lead the development of architecture specifications, system design documentation, workload analysis, modeling and projection to influence and define future SoC architecture.
