Job Description

The IT Service Delivery team plays a crucial role in ensuring IT infrastructure and services align with business needs. This role involves designing and maintaining the company’s ServiceNow and Atlassian platforms, as well as other applications and services. Responsibilities include system integrations, incident and problem management, platform upgrades, and user support. The ServiceNow Architect will assist in architecture, design, and development of ServiceNow solutions, configure and customize the platform, and collaborate with stakeholders. Additional responsibilities involve supporting integrations, contributing to implementations, monitoring platform health, providing technical expertise, and ensuring proper documentation.
Must have:
  • 10+ years of ServiceNow development and architecture experience.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow modules like ITSM, HAM, or ITOM.
  • Strong scripting skills using JavaScript for ServiceNow development.
  • Experience with ServiceNow implementations.
  • Familiarity with integration technologies like REST, SOAP, and JSON.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of configuration management processes.
Good to have:
  • ServiceNow certifications.
  • Experience designing reusable frameworks for ServiceNow development.
  • Advanced scripting expertise for custom UI development.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining a platform roadmap.

Meet the Team

  • Our IT Service Delivery team plays a crucial role in ensuring that our IT infrastructure and services align with the needs of the business. We own the design and function of the company’s ServiceNow and Atlassian platforms as well as many other apps and services. Our responsibilities include system integrations, incident and problem management, platform upgrades and enhancements, and user support and training for internal tools.
  • We collaborate across three continents, with team members in Austin, Montreal, Boston, Espoo, Oslo, Budapest, Hyderabad, Singapore, Taipei, and Shenzhen.
  • IT Service Delivery works seamlessly with all departments to ensure robust and efficient systems, contributing to the overall success and operational excellence of the entire company.

Responsibilities  

  • Assist in the architecture, design, and development of ServiceNow solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform, including workflows, forms, reports, and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical solutions.
  • Support integration efforts, ensuring seamless interaction between ServiceNow and other systems (e.g., REST APIs, web services, SSO).
  • Contribute to the delivery of ServiceNow implementations, migrations, and enhancements in line with best practices.
  • Monitor platform health, reduce technical debt, and ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to junior developers, fostering knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Ensure proper documentation of processes, customizations, and integrations for future reference and training.

Skills You Will Need

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and architecture (including coding, testing, and supporting changes to the application).
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, HAM, or ITOM, with basic knowledge of ITIL principles.
  • Strong scripting skills using JavaScript for ServiceNow development (e.g., Client Scripts, Business Rules, and UI Actions).
  • Experience with ServiceNow Implementations: Hands-on experience in at least 1-2 full ServiceNow implementations, including architecture, design, and development.
  • Integration Technologies: Familiarity with integration technologies like REST, SOAP, and JSON, as well as relevant ServiceNow tools such as Integration Hub
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
  • Working knowledge of configuration management processes and tools.

The following qualifications will be considered a plus:

  • ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified ServiceNow System Administrator or Certified Application Developer).
  • Experience designing reusable frameworks or tools for ServiceNow development.
  • Advanced scripting expertise for custom UI development (e.g., Widgets, UI Pages).
  • Platform Roadmapping: Experience in creating and maintaining a platform roadmap to guide the strategic development and evolution of the ServiceNow platform.
