Job Description

This Software Engineer role at Google Public Sector involves developing prototypes and front/back-end solutions for greenfield projects. Collaboration with internal teams is crucial to identify pain points and propose improvements leveraging Google Cloud technologies. The position requires leading architecture and engineering designs, code reviews, and ensuring best practices. Responsibilities include working with ML algorithms and tools, AI, deep learning, or natural language processing. This role necessitates an active US Government Top Secret/SCI security clearance with polygraph, and obtaining commensurate clearances for each agency served.

Must have:

5+ years software development experience
5+ years AI/ML/Full-stack experience
Proficiency in Java, C++, Go, Python, or full-stack development
US Government Top Secret/SCI clearance
Experience with ML algorithms and tools

Good to have:

Experience with TensorFlow
Experience with AI, deep learning, or NLP
Strong collaboration skills
Ability to quickly learn new technologies

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in software development.
5 years of experience with AI/ML/Full-stack.
Experience in languages such as Java, C++, Go, Python, or full-stack development.

Experience with ML algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow).
Experience with AI, deep learning, or natural language processing.
Ability to collaborate well within and outside the team.
Ability to ramp up and learn in a technical domain.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Develop prototypes and build front-ends and back-ends for greenfield projects.
Work with GPS Sovereign Engineering and Google Distribute Cloud Engineering to survey existing pain points, and propose solutions and improvements.
Participate in and lead architecture and engineering designs with peers and stakeholders, and exercise technical judgment (e.g. deciding between available technologies).
Review code and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
