Job Description

As a Software Engineer on the Google Pay Data Platform team, you'll build and maintain data infrastructure and pipelines, ensuring secure and privacy-compliant data handling. You'll collaborate with feature teams to deliver reliable data and infrastructure, focusing on the availability and reliability of critical data. The role involves working with large datasets, optimizing data processing pipelines and data serving, and potentially utilizing data analysis and visualization tools. The Payments team at Google strives to make payments simple, seamless, and secure, encompassing consumer technologies and money movement between Google, consumers, and businesses.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
1+ years software development experience (Java, C++)
Build data infrastructure and pipelines
Work with feature teams to provide reliable data

Good to have:

Experience with large data and data cubes
Optimizing data processing pipelines and data serving
Data analysis and visualization tools (SQL, Colab)

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C++).

Preferred qualifications:

Experience working with large data and creating and making available data cubes for other teams.
Experience in optimizing data processing pipelines and data serving.
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Colab).

Responsibilities

Build out data infrastructure and data pipelines in a secure and privacy compliant manner.
Work with feature teams to provide reliable data and infrastructure.
Maintain existing data infrastructure and ensure critical data is available and reliable.
