Job Description

As a Software Engineer III, Server Frameworks at Google, you'll design, implement, extend, and support infrastructure for building services using Kotlin and Java. You'll collaborate with a team to deliver infrastructure improvements across Google, triage system issues, debug, track, and resolve problems, analyzing their impact on service operations and quality. This role involves API design, robust implementation, and service-oriented system architecture. You will contribute to critical features and empower Googlers to build products. The work requires experience with Java or Kotlin, data structures/algorithms, and preferably experience with large-scale infrastructure, Spring Boot, and a passion for API design and infrastructure building.

Must have:

2+ years Java/Kotlin exp.
Data structures/algorithms
Design & implement services
Collaborate on infrastructure improvements
Triage and debug system issues

Good to have:

Large-scale infrastructure experience
Spring Boot experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in Java or Kotlin languages, and with data structures/algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with developing large-scale infrastructure or making contributions to a large code base.
Experience with Spring Boot.
Passion for API design and for building infrastructure.

Triage system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on service operations and quality.
