We are seeking an Studio Engagement and Culture Coordinator who will take a primary role in studio-wide initiatives pertaining to Employee Experience, Employee Communications, Studio Health and Studio Operations. This position will report into the Studio Director, Metalhead. As a part of our Operations team, you’ll be essential in helping our smaller studio function smoothly and efficiently. We will rely on you to actively foster an engaging employee experience for the employees at our studio by continuing ongoing programs, and devising new opportunities and solutions.

You are passionate about studio operations, culture and engagement, you thrive in a creative environment, and you enjoy working with and supporting teams in delivering the best games possible. You will have worked in a People experience or customer facing role for 3+ years, supporting and working with multiple stakeholder teams. You can identify and mitigate risk, and be a key player in setting and achieving our studio’s goals. Experience working in a creative studio environment is a plus!

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a variety of studio initiatives that have wide-ranging impacts on the studio’s culture and employee experience. Develop strategies to keep a pulse on the studio's needs and mood in partnership with leaders and cross-functional partners
  • Plan and manage memorable and inclusive onsite and offsite studio events, workshops, etc., from ideation to execution – including managing vendors (event spaces, catering, etc.), timelines, budgets, communications, and day-of operations
  • Oversee our onboarding and offboarding experience for team members, ensure account and equipment setups have been completed, and act as a buddy to provide a welcoming environment
  • Identify areas for improvement targeting employee experience, listen to game development team needs, and implement solutions aligned with studio values and strategy
  • Spearhead employee engagement initiatives and track success against defined criteria. Use defined research, studio sentiment, and engagement data to help inform future decisions
  • Be the studio representative and champion for EA and local studio policies
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones with studio leaders to identify and bridge gaps (engagement, conflict, etc.) while providing guidance on conflict resolution as needed
  • Provide operational support to partner teams such as People Practices, People Experience, and DEI to help implement local studio-related initiatives, and be an advocate for our studio when seeking out initiatives to join
  • Partner with studio leadership and EA/Tiburon comms teams on public-facing communications that focuses on Metalhead studio promotion and recruitment - this could include social media posts, outreach efforts, events and engagement activities, and/or other media that aligns with the studio strategy and EA/Tiburon requirements
  • Act as an advocate for our studio; create and maintain relationships with partner teams, external vendors, promotional merchandisers (swag), and event providers.
  • Coordinate gifts and awards such as baby gift baskets, bereavement flowers, retirement gifts, service recognition gifts, and organizing/ordering swag.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, and the ability to pick up on new programs quickly
  • Clear, kind, & direct communication style
  • Creative & passionate for creating experiences for employees
  • Unafraid to challenge the norm and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Organized with a planning mindset, and the ability to keep track of many small projects and tasks at the same time
  • Comfort in reaching out to and working with people in the broader organization as well as outside of EA
  • Flexibility as you take on a variety of different projects that may differ from your day-to-day tasks
  • Desire to take ownership, be responsible and find solutions autonomously
  • Love for events and creating memories for others

Bonus Qualifications:

  • A diploma or degree in administration, business or similar
  • 3+ years of people or customer related experience

Regardless of your specialization, a few things we're always looking for

  • A sense of humility and ability to thrive in a team environment. You look for help when you're stuck and you want to help your teammates when they need it.
  • A knack for managing your time. You know when to go deeper on a task versus recognizing that it's time to get 'er done and move on to the next thing. Quality is important, but so is speed!
  • A willingness to branch into areas outside your core expertise. It's just a fact of life in a small studio as we adapt to the changing demands at each stage of a project.
  • Drive to execute. Projects you've worked on in the past (personal or professional) got finished, and got finished properly… and it had a lot to do with you.
