Nekki is seeking a Visual Effects Specialist to contribute to a new multiplayer game. The role involves creating visual effects for characters, environments, and weapons, with a focus on conveying the impact of actions like punches and jumps. Responsibilities include designing effects to enhance gameplay, participating in playtesting, and providing VFX-related suggestions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about action games and dynamic animations, ensuring satisfying visual feedback for player actions. This role is for a cross-platform project for mobile devices, PC, and consoles, and involves remote work.
Must have:
  • Create effects for characters, environments, weapons.
  • Proficiency in Unity.
  • Experience working with Shader Graph.
  • Ability to create assets for VFX (meshes, textures).
  • Fluent communication in Russian.
Good to have:
  • Ability to write shaders in code.
  • Skill in creating flipbooks with frame-by-frame animations.
  • Artistic skills.
  • Experience working with VFX Graph.
  • Experience optimizing effects.

Job Details

Nekki is a game development studio, the creator of Shadow Fight 4: Arena, Shadow Fight 3Shadow Fight 2 and Vector. The total number of registered users for our games exceeds 1 billion worldwide. We develop and release games for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms.

 

We are looking for a Visual Effects Specialist to join the development of a new multiplayer game where players compete by completing levels using parkour, combat, and physics. In the future, players will also be able to create their own levels and rules using an in-game editor.

 

The game is being developed as a cross-platform project for mobile devices, PC, and consoles.

 

Our ideal candidate is someone who loves action-packed games and dynamic animations. You should know how to create juicy effects that convey the impact of punches, jumps, and other player actions, significantly enhancing the game’s feel and appeal.

Responsibilities:

  • Create effects for characters, environments, and weapons.
  • Design effects with a focus on conveying the physicality and power of specific animations, such as strikes, hits, and falls, ensuring all actions are accompanied by satisfying VFX.
  • Participate in playtesting and provide suggestions for improving the game experience from a VFX specialist’s perspective.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in creating visual effects.
  • Proficiency in Unity.
  • Experience working with Shader Graph.
  • Ability to create all necessary assets for VFX (meshes, textures, etc.).
  • Fluent communication in Russian is required.
    • Will be a plus:
    • Ability to write shaders in code.
    • Skill in creating beautiful flipbooks with frame-by-frame animations.
    • Artistic skills.
    • Experience working with VFX Graph.
    • Experience optimizing effects.
