Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Website and Application Development:

- Design, develop, and maintain responsive websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks.

- Collaborate with designers and product managers to implement attractive and user-friendly designs.

- Develop and integrate APIs and web services to enhance functionality.

2. Front-End Development:

- Implement interactive and responsive UI components using modern front-end technologies like React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.

- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability.

- Conduct user interface testing and debugging to improve overall user experience.

3. Back-End Development:

- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable server-side code using languages like Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby, or Java.

- Manage database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) to ensure data integrity and security.

- Implement authentication and authorization protocols to secure web applications.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including design, product management, and QA to deliver high-quality products.

- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring coding standards and best practices are maintained.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

5. Testing and Quality Assurance:

- Develop and execute test plans to ensure software quality and performance.

- Identify and troubleshoot bugs and issues, deploying fixes in a timely manner.

- Implement automated testing tools and frameworks to streamline the QA process.

6. Project Management:

- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.

- Utilize project management tools like JIRA, Trello, or Asana to track progress and collaborate with team members.

- Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and milestones to stakeholders.

7. Continuous Improvement:

- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in web development.

- Suggest and implement improvements to existing systems and processes.

- Contribute to open-source projects and share knowledge with the team through workshops and presentations.

8. Web Security and Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with web standards, security guidelines, and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).

- Protect sensitive data by implementing robust security measures against common threats (e.g., XSS, CSRF, SQL injection).

- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

9. E-commerce and CMS Development:

- Develop and customize e-commerce solutions using platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento.

- Work with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla to create and manage dynamic content.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in web development.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, PHP, Ruby, Java).

- Frameworks/Libraries: Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) and back-end frameworks (Django, Express.js, Laravel).

- Databases: Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).

- Version Control: Experience with Git and GitHub/GitLab.

- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
