Animation Supervisor at Immersive International - 3 month FTC - Canada based

Position: Animation Supervisor
Location: Ottawa or EST time zone

We are looking for an experienced 3D Animation Supervisor to join our North American team to oversee the production of short-form, character-driven, animated content.

Candidates will ideally be located in Ottawa, Ontario and open to working hybrid or in-office at our downtown location. Consideration will be given to other candidates working remotely who are located within the EST time zone.

The right candidate will have excellent experience as a Supervisor for animated projects and have extensive professional experience with production processes and pipelines for 3D animation and compositing.

The candidate would preferably have experience creating content for projection and large format OOH/Exhibition and screen technologies.

The candidate will have excellent communication, organization, management, and administration skills and be an inspiring team leader. They will be a creative problem solver.

The right person will be accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple projects and priorities at once.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and guide the animation in line with the creative director and the production team.

• Ensure that the content works well across the large-scale projection mapped canvases, in collaboration with the technical team.

• Create animation and contribute to more complicated or time-sensitive scenes as needed.

• Ensure quality and creativity of the team during production.

• Participate in presentations and project management calls with the Senior Producer and Project Director to present work in progress and submittal updates throughout the production.

• Disseminate client and stakeholder feedback to the animation team in a succinct manner.

• Assist with material needed for pitches and client meetings on other projects as required.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in industry-standard 3D animation software (e.g., Maya, Blender).

• Strong understanding of animation principles and storytelling techniques.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.

• Experience working on animation, motion graphics, or VFX projects.

• Experience working on animated films, TV shows, game projects preferred.

Preferred Experience:

• Preferably, have experience within the immersive creative industries and/or creating content for experiential activations.

• Experience in creating engaging interactive media and content.

• Proven ability to work cross-departmentally with interactive and technical teams.

• Strong skills in leading and managing teams.
