About the Role 
The Meeting Intelligence team focuses on building Highspot’s coaching capabilities by delivering an AI-enhanced conversational intelligence platform that integrates meeting data into the feedback loop, creating differentiated value for customers. We’re looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer who will bring their creativity and experience to Highspot to help us build software with a spark of magic. This is a role that works closely with Product Management, Design, and Frontend Engineering. While we don’t expect you to be an expert in all of these technologies, some of the languages and tools we use to build Highspot include Ruby, MongoDB, PostgreSQL,React, Next.js, Solr, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes. 

What You'll Do

    • Develop new product features and functionality with the highest quality Define and meet scalability, uptime, performance, and security goals
    • Leads by example and mentors others to produce extensible and maintainable code used across products. 
    • Partner cross-functionally with UX and Product Management to create the best software possible 
    • Take on the role of a technology leader in our most challenging cross-functional projects
    • Support the professional growth of others by actively mentoring individuals 
    • Leverage your extensive knowledge and experience to exert technical influence over multiple teams, enhancing their productivity and effectiveness through sharing
    • Write automated tests of your code and collaborate with QA to deliver software at a high level of quality
    • Resolve major customer technical issues in productionContribute to internal and external technical documentation

Your Background

    • Proficiency in designing, building, integrating with, and supporting APIs using a variety of languages, data formats, and data transformations
    • An entrepreneurial spirit: you’re agile, creative, resourceful, and tenacious as you solve problems and achieve team and company goals
    • Comfortable with modern open source technologies and tools
    • Experience developing software products, scalable internet software, and applications using a range of software models including object-oriented and functional design patterns
Base salary range: $146,000 - $220,000. Employees are eligible to receive stock options and may also receive other forms of compensation.

The above represents total expected compensation for this role. Actual compensation will depend on various job-related factors, including, but not limited to, location, experience, and job qualifications.
