Our experienced team has developed games for PC, console, and mobile that have been enjoyed by hundreds of millions globally. Based in Nottingham and Amsterdam, and with many team members working remotely, we're dedicated to collaboration and focused on gaming. JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Art Director, you will play a crucial role in leading projects, setting standards and directing the artistic vision of our games. You will work with Designers, Developers and other talented artists to craft incredible assets that will set our games apart and grow them into massive hits.

This position offers an unparalleled amount of ownership, autonomy and impact and requires a unique blend of creative flair, technical expertise and leadership skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Art Director at Lava Labs, you can expect to:

• Create diverse, innovative, and functional art styles for our games

• Lead and manage art projects from conception to completion 

• Establish and maintain high artistic standards and creative vision for the team 

• Enhance the skill levels and work quality of team members 

• Work closely with teams to drive excellence in every aspect of  game development

REQUIREMENTS

• A proven track record of successful projects 

• A background in 3D art, focusing on casual, accessible styles.

• Experience in working with both in-house and outsourcing/external art teams 

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and motivate a team. 

• Created pipelines for Mobile games and knowledge of optimization for mobile devices.
