Job Description

Seeking a Parts Counter Associate to manage the entire parts sales process. Responsibilities include communicating effectively with staff and customers, accurately using parts catalogs, handling phone inquiries, providing price quotes, verifying parts orders against body shop estimates, managing inventory by filling orders and conducting bin checks, notifying the parts manager of stock shortages, ensuring all internal part requests are billed to service repair orders, and processing customer payments. The role offers competitive pay with base salary plus commission.

Job Details

Job Title: Parts Counter Associate
Location: Berman STAR Nissan / Infiniti of Niles 
Schedule: Full Time; Monday-Saturday (Sundays & 1 Weekday OFF)
Pay: $41,600-$60,000 annually (Base salary + Commission)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
  • Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up and speaking to specific parts.
  • Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and other information to customers.
  • Review body shop estimates to verify the parts ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
  • Pull/fill orders from stock and maintain weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock.
  • Notify the parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
  • Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
  • Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
