The Brand Manager will act as a Brand Leader, managing the category's P&L by leading brand plans and activations, including new product development and communication calendars to drive sustainable brand growth in the Vietnamese market. Key responsibilities include driving market share, executing activation plans, developing digital strategies, analyzing P&L, managing investments, launching new products, and building long-term brand equity. The role also involves liaising with area teams, activating claims, and building agency partnerships. The Brand Manager will track local brand KPIs and recommend necessary actions.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or economics.
  • Minimum 5 years of brand marketing experience.
  • Experience driving digital strategy and activation.
  • Experience implementing brand and execution plans.
  • Excellent English communication skills
Good to have:
  • Master's degree in business management is preferred.
  • Financial acumen is an added advantage.
  • Experience in NPD process.

Job Purpose

Acting like Brand Leader and responsible for managing the category’s P&L by leading brand plan and activation. This includes rolling out new products development and managing the communication calendar to drive sustainable OTC brand growth in the VN market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for accelerated share, for assigned brand portfolio over 3-1 plan in the market.
  • Execute and amplify winning Market Activation Plans (MAPs) in the context of the consumer, shopper, expert, trade and competitive set. Output clear local activation calendars to be deployed to attain growth priorities in brand development.
  • Win in digital locally through driving local digital insights and delivering locally relevant digital campaigns.
  • Work with Finance to analyze the P&L and identify the impact of alternative actions.
  • Identify investment priorities and manage A&P with appropriate mix between advertising and in-store efforts in collaboration with customer development channel and category management.
  • Monitor and assess in-market new product launches brilliantly leveraging Area launch models with local adaptation where needed.
  • Adapt Area tool kits (materials, claims, copy (when necessary), etc…) and ensure the Brand Heart is brought to life and consistently activated across all touch points to build long term brand equity.
  • Liaise actionable local insights with the Area teams (consumer, shopper, expert) to generate locally relevant Task Maps.
  • Activate and consistently deploy winning claims in compliance with Haleon and local policies by collaborating closely with area, regulatory, medical, legal and activation teams.
  • Build strong agency partnerships at LOC to deliver world class activation.
  • Model Haleon values & behaviors and act in compliance with all Haleon codes of practice.
  • Be responsible for tracking local brand KPIs and recommending remedial action where necessary

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in science marketing / business/ economics. Master's degree in business management is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in a Brand Marketing capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects with successful outcomes.
  • Strong experiences in driving digital strategy (social, Ecom channel) and activation.    
  • Ability to lead within a matrix organization, integrating complex multifunctional efforts crossing multiple business areas.
  • Experience of leading successful innovation launches in market.
  • Experience in implementing brand plans and execution plans.
  • Experience in brand architecture, setting brand/variant roles & priorities and building portfolio.
  • Financial acumen is an added advantage.
  • Experience in NPD process.
  • Excellent English Written and Spoken Communication skills.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Canvas.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
