Job Description

The Cloud Architect Infrastructure role at Google Cloud involves providing technical guidance to customers adopting GCP services. Responsibilities include offering best practices for secure cloud implementations, automated infrastructure provisioning, and cloud-ready application architectures. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders to interpret client needs, recommend solutions, and execute cloud migration projects. You'll work with Google GCP specialists and product teams to consolidate best practices and deliver comprehensive solutions. This also includes managing migration scope, priorities, and timelines for migrations, ensuring successful deployment of cloud-based infrastructure solutions according to customer requirements and industry best practices.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent
4+ years experience in infrastructure automation
Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions
Experience supporting customer projects to completion
Excellent communication and presentation skills

Good to have:

CI/CD pipeline setup experience
Experience in GKE, GCVE migration, network design, data migration, VM migration to GCE
Google Cloud foundation setup (networking & security)
Terraform scripting experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience in automating infrastructure provisioning, developer operations, continuous integration, or delivery.
Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in two or more disciplines: GKE migration, GCVE migration, network design, data migration strategies, VM migration to GCE.
Experience setting up Google Cloud foundations involving networking and security setup.
Experience in writing Infrastructure-as-code using terraform scripting.
Excellent communication, presentation, and consulting skills.

You will also provide prescriptive guidance in ensuring that customers receive a positive experience in migrating, building, modernizing, and maintaining applications in GCP. In this role, you will work with Product Management and Product Engineering to drive excellence in Google Cloud products and features.

Responsibilities

Engage in collaborative effort with stakeholders to interpret client requirements, provide recommendations for appropriate solution architectures, and offer consultative services.
Collaborate with customer technical leads, client managers, and partners to plan and execute cloud migration projects.
Work with Google GCP specialists, product development teams, and engineering divisions to consolidate best practices and valuable insights into comprehensive solutions and accessible assets.
Engage with Google Cloud sales representatives, partners, and customer technical stakeholders to oversee the management of migration scope, priorities, deliverables, risks/issues, and timelines for migrations.
Provide comprehensive solutions and execute the deployment of cloud-based distributed infrastructure solutions in accordance with customer requirements and industry best practices for implementation.
