Collaborates with product personnel, business stakeholders, technology representatives and various functions to define product strategy, goals and objectives, and to create/refine application requirements to achieve the product plan.

Creates navigation structures and information designs, and constructs prototypes, storyboards and mockups to effectively communicate designs to product management and development.

Works closely with technology representatives as products are being developed to ensure accuracy and quality.

Nasdaq is looking for an experienced Digital Design and UX Creative Director to join our dynamic, global digital marketing and client experience team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the user experience and design direction of Nasdaq.com.

At Nasdaq, we recognize the power of digital experiences, and we are looking for someone to take our strategy to the next level. In this role, you will help shape Nasdaq’s digital brand by creating experiences to support our audiences across all of Nasdaq’s marketing sites. 

Your team will be responsible for leading the design of major components of the user experience that scale across multiple products, platforms, and end-to-end scenarios for a variety of customers. The success of the Nasdaq.com UX team will be driven by your ability to manage complex tasks, large teams, and communicate clearly to many stakeholders.

We are looking for a creative problem-solver who can optimize the overall user experience based on metrics, customer feedback and business objectives. This includes maturing our user research and client listening practices. You will continually look for ways to modernize and enhance interaction and visual design, as well as UI architecture. You will need to create deep productive relationships with our technology and business unit partners to optimize our brand alignment, design systems, site performance and customer user journeys.

You will be responsible for championing user experience across the organization, providing meaningful insights on ways to delight our customers and drive revenue.

You will need the following skills and experience: 

  • Expert knowledge of UX including, sketching, wireframing, and managing concepts from iteration through development.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with a passion for constant improvement
  • Apply design methodologies to design strategies that map across our users’ journeys
  • Mature leadership and mentoring skills across a diverse and global design team
  • of UX leads, product managers, and developers.
  • Collaborate with other designers, creative teams, product teams, content strategists, web producers and developers
  • Oversee development of UI/UX enhancements to ensure business requirements are met.
  • A proven track record of applying modern user research methodologies to understand clients’ needs.
  • A history of successfully creating, implementing, and maintaining modern design systems.
  • Promote usability and design excellence across teams.
  • 10+ years of experience in UX and digital design
  • Leverage and contribute to our product experience framework.

  • Proficiency with modern design tools and workflows.
  • Deep experience with Figma libraries, components, and prototyping.
  • A thorough knowledge of user research and client engagement tools such as Qualtrics, Pendo, Hot Jar, Adobe Target, etc.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to senior leaders and foster collaboration and consensus building.
  • Ambitious self-starter with demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done.
  • Knowledge of the media/publishing industry, financial data and global websites.
