Job Description

This role is a Custom Silicon Operation Product Engineer, Assembly and Test at Google. Responsibilities include driving custom silicon package-level yield analysis, yield improvement, and failure analysis. The engineer will lead cross-functional efforts for technology and operational readiness during New Product Introduction (NPI), resolving technical and operational issues. They will lead early production site qualifications, yield and process improvements, and supplier collaborations to ensure high-quality product delivery. A Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 5 years of program management experience are minimum requirements, with experience in semiconductor process/yield and product engineering. Preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD and 15 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing and testing.

Good to have:

Master's or PhD in Electrical/Computer/Material Engineering
15+ years Semiconductor Manufacturing & testing experience
SoC and PMIC productization experience
Experience in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in program management.
Experience in data analysis using semiconductor production data and leading cross-functional teams with technical leadership and executive communication.
Experience as a Semiconductor Process/Yield and product engineer.
Ability to travel as required.

Preferred qualifications:

Masters degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Material Engineering is preferred.
15 years of experience in Semiconductor Manufacturing and testing.
Experience with SoC and Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) productization.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Drive custom silicon package level Yield analysis, Yield monitoring and Yield improvement, excursion management and failure analysis (e.g. ATE and SLT Yield).
Drive cross-functional efforts for technology and operational readiness during New Product Introduction (NPI).
Drive and resolve technical and operational issues of material, process, fixtures and equipment to enable delivery of product and manufacturing process during NPI into mass production.
Lead early production site qualifications for NPI. Lead Yield and process improvements, development and validation CIP.
Lead suppliers to establish and validate process capability and performance metrics using statistical tools and techniques for consistently delivering high quality products and for excursion management.
