Your responsibilities include designing data collection and processing pipelines, developing enforcement controls, applying statistical techniques to analyze datasets, engineering data integration solutions, providing strategic insights, and generating compliance reports. This role involves using data analytics to improve policy enforcement and working closely with legal teams and business units.

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools.
  • Basic knowledge of machine learning and Python programming.

Our team works on using ML and AI to ensure the compliance of the eBay marketplace with various regulations and brand protection. The team is working with business units, legal teams and policy team to ensure the alignment and goals of eBay compliance. The team solves puzzling and unique problems with machine learning and system thinking approaches. We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysing and interpreting data related to policy violations and compliance issues within eBay organisation. The role involves working closely with different teams to ensure that all activities are in line with regulatory requirements and company policies.



What you will accomplish:

  • Design and implement data collection and processing pipelines for monitoring policy violations and enforcement actions.

  • Develop advanced enforcement controls and detection algorithms to track and ensure policy compliance.

  • Apply statistical techniques to analyze complex datasets and identify significant trends or patterns.

  • Engineer and optimize data integration solutions to translate policy/legal requirements into actionable enforcement controls.

  • Leverage data analytics to provide strategic insights and recommendations for enhancing policy enforcement frameworks.

  • Generate and automate comprehensive compliance and enforcement metric reports for internal and external stakeholders.

     

What you will bring:

  • Experience as a data analyst or similar roles with strong analytical skills and the ability to collect, organise and analyse significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Superset.

  • Basic knowledge of machine learning and Python programming.

  • Experience in formulating and validating business hypotheses using data analysis.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with an analytical mind-set.
