We are looking for a Data Protection Officer now.
Your main tasks will be:
- Ensure the company processes all data in compliance with data protection rules as set out in GDPR, monitor legislation changes and new personal data-related cases, develop and update internal documentation, including a record of personal data processing activities, data protection policy, privacy notices, consents etc.
- Train the staff to handle information, data process activities, and raise awareness within the business for data protection regulations etc.
- Advise top management regarding the risks related to personal data protection.
- Recognize and purpose activities of a company’s data processing, plan and execute GDPR compliance audits, develop detailed recommendations for improvements, “ad-hoc” GDPR compliance audit with root-cause analysis and development of remediation plan.
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) on a timely basis.
- Manage records of Data Protection operations.
- Meticulously maintain incident and breach logs and take necessary follow-up actions. Actively participate in investigations of identified data breaches, performing root-cause analysis and suggesting the corresponding corrective measures to minimize the consequences of the breach.
- Functioning as a primary point of contact for the personal data supervisory authorities. Monitoring and coordination of investigations performed by personal data supervisory authorities.
- Actively promote and participate in Data Protection by design and default processes. If based on cost or other reasons some of the requirements can not be met, timely estimate residual personal data risks and inform top management about these risks in a plain and easy to understand way of communication.
We expect from you:
- 3+ years of experience as a DPO in an IT company
- Legal knowledge
- Russian (native/fluent)
- English (fluent)
- Deep understanding of GDPR (a must), EDPB, WP29, CCPA, Can-Spam (nice to have) requirements and guidelines.
- Ability to understand how to improve existing or implement new privacy management processes
