Job Description

AriensCo is seeking a Distribution Center Associate in Shepherdsville, KY. This role involves ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of distribution processes. Responsibilities include selecting products, preparing items for shipping, verifying orders, managing shipping documents, and inventory management. The role also involves using forklifts and adhering to 6S principles. The company offers a collaborative and fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be an integral part of the team and make an impact in the world of outdoor equipment solutions. The 2nd shift schedule is Monday-Friday 1:30-10pm.
Must have:
  • Accurately select products to fulfill customer orders.
  • Prepare products for shipping, maintaining quality and integrity.
  • Verify each order against customer specifications for accuracy.
  • Handle and maintain shipping documents accurately.
  • Manage inventory of packaging supplies effectively.
  • Operate various types of forklifts.
  • Apply the principles of 6S for workspace organization.
  • Use basic hand tools for various tasks.
  • Possess basic computer literacy and math/reading skills.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Comprehend and follow established work practices.
  • Read invoices and understand commands in English.

Job Description:

AriensCo, a leader in outdoor equipment manufacturing, is seeking a motivated and skilled Distribution Center Associate to become an integral part of our team in Shepherdsville, KY. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our distribution processes, directly impacting customer satisfaction and the success of our renowned brand. 2nd Shift Schedule- Monday-Friday 1:30-10pm.

Position pay $18/hr. + $2/hr. shift differential for all hours worked. You are guaranteed a $1 hour increase every 6 months until you reach $20/hour base wage.

The Day to Day…

  • Demonstrate proficiency in accurately selecting products to fulfill customer orders with precision and speed.

  • Ensure products are securely prepared for shipping, maintaining their quality and integrity during transit.

  • Show exceptional attention to detail by thoroughly verifying each order against customer specifications, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.

  • Handle essential shipping documents with care, ensuring they are accurately maintained and organized.

  • Efficiently monitor and manage our inventory of packaging supplies, ensuring they are readily available and stored properly.

  • Adapt to various tasks as needed, contributing to different aspects of operations to support evolving customer needs and business objectives.

  • Possess certification in operating diverse types of forklifts (including sit-down, stand-up, and reach models), contributing to efficient warehouse operations.

  • Apply the principles of 6S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) to enhance and maintain an organized, efficient, and safe workspace.

The Qualifications...

  • Possess the ability to skillfully use basic hand tools for various tasks and adjustments.

  • Bring basic computer literacy, coupled with essential math and reading abilities, to effectively manage tasks and processes.

  • Always prioritize and perform job functions with a strong focus on safety, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.

  • Capable of comprehending and consistently following established work practices to maintain efficiency and quality.

  • Must be able to fluently read invoices and comprehend commands in English, particularly in relation to our picking system, to ensure smooth and effective operations.

The Work Environment...

  • Required to wear safety glasses, hearing protection and safety shoes.

  • Required to work in a hot and humid or cold environment.

  • Required to stand/walk at least 8 hours per day.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally, 35 lbs frequently, push, pull, twist, reach, bend, squat.
