Software Development Manager – Capital Markets

Role Profile

  • In this role, you'll be joining our Primary Markets Systems team within the Capital Markets Division

  • We are looking for a great manager, communicator and technology enthusiast who can work with our business and technical teams to help craft the future of our products and services.

  • You will lead one or more fully functional teams of software engineers responsible for crafting and supporting our systems.

  • Initially the role will focus on building a team crafting and supporting products based on SalesForce.  Going forward we expect the role to expand to include the management of multiple agile teams developing cloud native applications.

Tech Profile/Essential Skills

  • Successful history leading fully functional agile software development teams.
  • 5+ years in a software developer role.
  • Experience in full product lifecycle from product inception to delivery and systems support.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills in one or more of, Java Development, AWS/Azure, Salesforce.
  • Proven track record of driving projects to completion.
  • Strong architectural knowledge.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Be the main point of contact and escalation for the team.
  • Handle day to day activities to support delivery.
  • Define the strategic roadmap.
  • Team man management, technical mentorship
  • Be an agile consultant/advocate for the team.
  • Be accountable for the quality of your work, ensuring it’s delivered within agreed procedures and timeframes.
  • Work with multiple partners to agree priorities, define plans etc.
  • Coordinate the team and break down work to deliver requirements on time with good quality.
  • Reprioritise/Escalate if milestones are going to be missed.
