Balloon One seeks a Digital Marketing Specialist to drive the commercial success of its flagship app, Geo2. This role is crucial in increasing subscriptions and expanding its global market presence. Responsibilities include managing Geo2's online presence (app stores, website, social media), SEO/paid advertising, mass-market customer engagement (CRM, email workflows), competitor analysis, creating affiliate revenue streams, and collaborating with the Product Manager on innovative product ideas. The ideal candidate possesses at least 2 years of experience in B2B app commercialization, expertise in online marketing, and strong project management skills. Success will be measured by sustainably raising revenue to cover development and operational costs.

On behalf of Balloon One, GT is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join the Geo2 team.

Balloon One is a UK-based company specializing in supply chain IT solutions. Since its founding in 2003, the company has become a trusted partner for distribution, manufacturing, and e-commerce businesses, offering cutting-edge Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and automation solutions.
Balloon One is dedicated to optimizing business operations, reducing costs, and improving efficiency through innovative software and technology.

About the Project: Geo2

Geo2 is Balloon One’s flagship transport application. It is a scalable, cloud-based platform designed to optimize delivery routes, monitor shipments in real time, and provide digital proof of delivery.
The app supports businesses by improving the efficiency of logistics operations, helping clients meet modern supply chain demands. With its strong potential for growth, Geo2 aims to transition from a business-to-business model to broader online sales.


About the Role

This role will be pivotal in driving the commercial success of Geo2, focusing on increasing subscriptions and expanding its global market presence throughout 2025. The Digital Marketing Specialist will lead efforts to enhance the app’s visibility, boost subscriptions, and explore indirect revenue opportunities through strategic partnerships.

Essential knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Marketing professional with at least 2-years’ experience and a track record of previous successful app commercialisation.

  • Proven success in marketing a subscription-based B2B app.

  • Expertise in online marketing, including app store management, website optimization, SEO, and paid advertising.

  • Social media management.

  • Mass-market customer engagement – CRM, email workflows, promotions.

  • Creation and management of indirect revenue streams from affiliates (e.g., advertising).

  • Commercial and feature-based competitor analysis.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Google Analytics.

  • Excellent English communication skills.

Nice-to-have

  • Degree-level qualification relevant to online marketing.

  • Experience in the logistics/transport industry.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

The role is responsible for the commercial success of the Geo2 application by sustainably raising revenue to meet development and operational costs. The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for managing and initially directly delivering the following:

  • Manage Geo2 online presence – app stores, website, videos, social media – for commercial effectiveness.

  • SEO, paid advertising.

  • Mass-market customer engagement – CRM, email workflows, promotions.

  • Ongoing comparison with reference competitor to inform marketing activity and product development.

  • Creation and management of indirect revenue streams from affiliates, e.g. advertising.

  • Research and learn to gain a deep understanding of the customer, competitive landscape & products, legislation, and future industry technological developments.

  • Accurately assess the impact of your marketing spend and communicate value to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Work with the Product Manager to devise innovative product ideas and plans to create a commercially valuable product that is ahead of the competition.

  • Continually hypothesise and test to maximise marketing spend performance.
