Engineering Team Lead

Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re currently partnering with a fast-growing SaaS-based consulting firm to hire an Engineering Team Lead for their fully remote team, based in Canada.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineering Team Lead to join a collaborative, dynamic team and help shape the future of innovative, Product-led SaaS solutions. As a player-coach, you’ll work closely with the internal engineering team to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions while mentoring and developing team members’ skills and careers.

Responsibilities:

• Write high-quality, accessible, and scalable code in a full-stack environment (MEAN stack)
• Foster a positive, inclusive coaching culture while mentoring team members
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Product-led SaaS solutions
• Provide leadership and guidance to engineering team members, supporting both technical and professional growth
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices and processes

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in full-stack web development (MEAN stack)
• Proven experience as an Engineering Team Lead, with a track record of mentoring and leading teams
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and listen to team members’ needs
• In-depth knowledge of the Scrum framework and agile methodologies
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
