This Financial Analyst role at Google focuses on Cloud Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) for the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The analyst will forecast infrastructure costs, collaborate with the capacity planning team, create financial models for CapEx and OpEx, and influence capacity strategy decisions. Responsibilities include contributing to monthly and annual planning processes, working with multiple stakeholders, and providing insightful recommendations to senior management. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and modeling skills, experience in cloud infrastructure cost understanding, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously. The role involves transforming planning, tracking, and control processes and delivering insightful reports.

- 4+ years FP&A, consulting, or related experience

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in understanding infrastructure costs for cloud related businesses.
- Ability to work with and analyze datasets, building dashboards and provide insights to business partners.
- Ability to work in a fluid environment.
- Ability to plan, execute and deliver on projects, and to multitask on varying projects and initiatives.
- Excellent problem-solving and modeling skills, with the ability to work with teams leads to frame issues and structure analyses.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.
Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team supports the Product, Engineering, and Operations teams that build and promote Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Forecast infrastructure costs for the Google cloud business and contribute to monthly and annual planning processes.
- Collaborate with cloud capacity planning team and work with multiple stakeholders to develop the capacity forecast.
- Create financial models for analyzing Capital Expenditure and Operational Expenditure trends for various cloud business segments.
- Influence strategy decisions on capacity as a finance partner for cloud capacity leadership.
