Graphic Production Designer

We’re looking to hire a Graphic Production Designer (part-time freelance) for a global entertainment & media company.

You’ll join the Creative Department to develop product concepts for merchandise sold in theaters. The work is an on-going project, work will be on an as needed basis; work hours can fluctuate between 0-40 hours per week. The role is located in New York, NY and is fully remote. Candidates must have their own equipment

Responsibilities: 

• The Graphic Production Designer will be responsible for concepting, ideation, and graphic design and bring creative ideas to the life as well as prepare files.
• You will play a crucial role in developing merchandise concepts sold for the client's theatrical productions.
• Trend/Mood Board preparation – pulling imagery and color palettes to evoke a mood and direction for further product development and prepare files for production.
• Graphic Design- art interpretations of elements of shows as well as repeated pattern and icon creation, typography, logo and font usage. 

Requirements: 

• Experience with consumer products agencies doing theatrical product and merchandising design NOT packaging design. Must be strong in Graphic Design and Fonts, Typography.
• Knowledge of color story and color matching
• Degree in Art and Design preferred

To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week and the length of assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
