About the Role
We are on the lookout for a Head of Communications & Community to lead our team who focus on using PR, events and communications to keep our amazing community engaged, and to grow Veve’s share of category voice. This is a full-time role, ideally based in North America or New Zealand (Remote).
As the Head of Communications & Community at Veve, you will:
- Lead our PR, Community Engagement, social media and events functions
- Define and execute the strategies that shape VeVe’s public perception and nurture our amazing global community.
- Be responsible for multiple key business objectives that contribute to company growth and an increase in customer loyalty.
The key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing comprehensive corporate and consumer PR and Community Engagement strategies that enhance our connection to our audience, our visibility and reputation across all key markets, online and offline.
- Leading, mentoring, and empowering the team which includes Community Managers, and Events and Communications specialists.
- Managing media relations, securing coverage across traditional and digital platforms to maximise brand exposure in line with business objectives.
- Identifying and mitigating potential PR risks, creating communication protocols for crisis management and response.
- Acting as a partner to the Co-CEO in managing corporate communications, including internal communications, executive messaging, and thought leadership initiatives.
- Overseeing community platforms, ensuring they reflect our tone, voice, and values while driving meaningful engagement.
- Collaborate with Co-CEO and external licensors to create commercial partnerships to drive business growth.
- Overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of PR campaigns, events, and key communications initiatives.
About You
You will have:
- Proven experience as a senior comms leader, preferably within a B2C environment with success in market penetration and market share gains in global markets.
- Experience working cross collaboratively in a product-led growth organisation to bring ideas to life for maximum impact and reach.
- Track record of successfully leading and managing remote teams, driving performance, and fostering professional development.
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate business objectives into impactful strategies.
- Proficiency in data analysis, using metrics and KPIs to inform brand decisions and optimise performance.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across cross-functional teams and present to senior leadership.
- Adept at building and nurturing relationships with external partners, licensors, and stakeholders.
- Proven experience in Comms, PR, and Events for digital first organisations/companies.
- Familiarity with the digital, entertainment, or collectibles industry is highly desirable.
