Job Description

The Head of Marketing role involves developing and executing marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, generate leads, and support customer retention. Responsibilities include monitoring key metrics, collaborating with sales and product teams, utilizing customer insights, and ensuring brand consistency. Additionally, the role involves developing content strategies, managing marketing vendors, and leading communications activities. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in marketing and communications, exceptional communication skills, and experience with CRM tools.

This is a broad role Head of Marketing and your days will be full of variety.  Key deliverables are driving traffic to our front door to support Medtech meeting business goals, telling the story about what we’re about and delivering to our customers through a range of channels, and ensuring a variety of audiences are communicated with effectively (including our own people to enable our culture transformation).

Medtech is the market-leading provider of primary health tech solutions in New Zealand. We provide advanced practice management software and other state-of- the-art health technology solutions that enable health professionals to provide ‘healthier care’.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies that increase brand awareness, generate qualified leads, and support customer retention, while meeting business objectives.
  • Monitor and report on key marketing metrics, as lead generation, website traffic, conversion rates, and campaign ROI.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Product teams to ensure marketing strategies align with sales goals and product positioning.
  • Utilize customer insights and feedback to shape content, campaigns, and product offerings that resonate with target audiences and drive customer loyalty.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all channels while managing the company’s reputation, both online and offline.
  • Develop a comprehensive content strategy that includes SEO best practices to drive organic traffic and improve search engine rankings.
  • Develop “Go to Market Strategies” for market segments and countries with the General Manager of Sales & Marketing.
  • Leverage marketing automation tools and CRM systems to streamline campaigns, track leads, and ensure timely and personalized communication.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategy and stay ahead of industry trends. 
  • Champion Medtech’s core values both internally and externally, helping to shape and communicate our company culture through marketing efforts.
  • Lead comms activities for external and internal audiences  
  • Overseeing conference attendance/exhibitions and managing marketing vendors.

What I bring to the role

  • 5+ years’ experience as a marketing and communications specialist
  • 2+ years’ experience in a corporate management role
  • A relevant marketing degree or equivalent experience, with experience in digital marketing.
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in creating successful marketing collateral
  • Ability to initiate and monitor several simultaneous projects
  • Experience in working with CRM tools such as HubSpot and Salesforce, Mailchimp and other applications.
  • A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and professional communication  
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement  
  • Expert brand - creation skills 
  • A passion for healthcare would be advantageous
  • Branding for technology, design and digital products experience
  • Communications expertise (internal and external)
