Skydance Media offers a paid, full-time Summer 2025 internship in Television Development. Interns will gain real-world experience, network with industry leaders, and develop transferable skills. Responsibilities include script and book coverage, industry research, participation in pitch classes, executive screening calls, and handling confidential documents. The internship runs 10 weeks (June 9 - August 15), requires a Monday-Friday schedule (9 AM - 6 PM, on-site Monday-Thursday), and is open to students currently enrolled in an accredited program. Strong writing, critical thinking, and multitasking skills are essential. The hourly rate is $17.81.

Skydance Media is looking for motivated and enthusiastic Summer interns!
We have multiple open internships that will support our television development team, so our Internship Program offers its own unique learning opportunities. You will have the chance to network and meet with Skydance leaders, learn transferable skills, and gain real-world experience. It is an experience ideal for those moving from classroom to the industry.
This is a ten-week long paid, full-time internship. You must be able to work 9:00 AM-6:00 PM for the duration of this internship program.
This internship application will close on April 1st, 2025.
Responsibilities
- Read scripts and books and prepare coverage reports for our TV department
- Research and stay current with trending industry topics via online trades, stories, etc.
- Participate in program activities including Pitch Classes and lunches with Skydance leadership
- Periodically screen phone calls for Executives
- Handle confidential correspondence, reports, presentations and other documents
Requirements
- Must be available for 10-week program, Monday, June 9 - Friday, August 15
- Must be available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Must be available to work on site Monday - Thursday (reasonable accommodations may be considered)
- Must be currently enrolled in an Associates, Bachelor or Master’s program at an accredited institution
- Proficiency in MS Office; Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
- Desire to work in entertainment industry, development a plus
- Self-starter with proficient writing and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task
- Ability to excel in a high-powered, fast-paced media entertainment environment
The hourly rate for this non-exempt position in Santa Monica is $17.81
You must be available to work full-time from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (PT) for the duration of the program (Mon-Fri, June 9 to August 15). Our offices will be closed on June 19 and July 4. Aside from those dates, no additional vacation days can be accommodated.
