Job Description

The Junior Buyer will support the Trading Team in maintaining and growing the digital games offer. This role involves building relationships with publishers, managing stock, and creating merchandising opportunities. The Junior Buyer will become a subject matter expert on internal processes, provide support to senior team members, and manage internal projects. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, relationship skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. They should have experience in eCommerce trading or merchandising within a fast-paced retail environment. They should be proactive, have good problem-solving skills and be able to communicate at all levels.

ROLE OVERVIEW

An exciting opportunity to join the Trading Team in the supporting role of Junior Buyer. The key purpose of a Junior Buyer is to support and help deliver, maintain, and grow our digital games offer. KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Build relationships and manage a selection of Tier 2-4 publishers, including new release, campaign, stock management and day to day negotiations
  • Preparation of site merchandising actions (Daily changes, creating merchandising opportunities)
  • Become a subject matter expert on key internal processes / mechanics to aid the best synergies across the business
  • Provide support to the senior members of the trading team
  • Internal project ownership (i.e. Bundles)
  • Delivery of publisher requests (i.e. Reporting)

  • Manage time effectively by setting and achieving priorities and timescales.
  • Proactive approach to work
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Good problem-solving skills and can take initiative to resolve issues

Experience:

  • eCommerce trading or merchandising
  • Experience of stakeholder management
  • Within a fast-paced retailer, industry or business

Nice to have:

  • An interest in the entertainment industry, ideally Video Games!
  • Previous Video Games industry experience (Ideal but not essential)
