Game Art Lead

Game Studio is a world of fun characters. We are crafting a world of interactive, fun, and creative experiences that spread across digital art, gaming, and digital luxury. We are building community-focused multi-player mini-games, web3 & web2 experiences, and tools along with an incredibly passionate community.

You are invited to create and curate the visuals of Game Studio Mobile Games, keenly maintaining our unique creative identity throughout all the art and media we provide. This position is Hybrid (Mumbai, India).

Are you good at?

• Conceptualising and maintaining an overall creative identity for products, games or

  platforms.

• Communicating the identity effectively to the environment, character, UI and VFX artists and animators.

• 2+ years of experience in a relevant role with a focus on game art direction.

• Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of artistic styles and projects.

• Finding solutions to artistic and technical issues that may arise during the development process.

• Managing the art pipeline to ensure it is well defined and aligned with Game Studios goals and identity.

• The ability to lead and inspire a team of artists is essential.

• Identifying team strengths and allocating appropriate artwork.

• Staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in the gaming industry.

• Working with a variety of art and game software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Blender, Maya and Unity Engine.

• 5+ years of experience in game art industry

What your average day will look like in the Game Studio

• Leading the pre-production design phase of the game development and making sure all optimized assets are delivered by the team from per-production to production stage while maintaining the art direction of the game
• Conceptualise, evangelize and execute game art requirement documents, so cross-functional teams clearly understand the outcomes and visual impacts.
• Creating and maintaining the art bible for the game with inputs from all teams across functions in order to deliver the best looking functional game visuals and audio
• Setting up and managing workflows of art production, supporting artists and engineers in the 3D art pipeline to derive task outputs from individual contributors in your team
• Conducting research and documenting latest visual trends and tools to find ways to improve output quality that helps in optimizing graphics development

• Oversee the creation of 3D models, textures, animations, and other visual assets.

• Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of artists, including character artists, environment artists, animators, and other specialized roles.
