Responsibilities:

As a Lead Producer at LightSpeed Studios, you will oversee the production development of a new and exciting game IP. Your role involves working closely with the Creative Director and core leadership team in defining and maintaining the production and delivery of features, ensuring it aligns with the game's overall creative direction and resonates with a global audience. This role requires spearheading a global production team, particularly focusing on collaboration with development units in China, Singapore, and other countries.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading production across multiple studios and ensuring that all requirements are met.
  • Establish and execute production goals, standards, and practices for production while also developing policies that improve the overall production process.
  • Responsible for establishing schedules, setting budgets, tracking actuals, and implementing solutions for financial accountability to those budgets in conjunction with internal game milestones or need-by dates.
  • Build strong team relationships with studio management, leads, production staff, outsource vendors and other Tencent Studios for effective project execution.
  • Execute adaptable leadership skills with the ability to influence, motivate, and encourage the team.
  • Scheduling, coaching, and evaluating the performance of production staff.
  • Creation of contracts with external vendors in conjunction with our Legal and Tencent HQ.
  • Oversee and prepare submissions/notes for reviews internally and with vendors as needed.
  • Ensure the timely availability of resources, crew and equipment, and partner with other game producers/leads to balance resources, elevating issues to the creative director as needed.
  • Prioritize bug fixes and tasks throughout the release cycle, with a focus on high-level priorities set by leadership.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years’ experience in games or a related technical field.
  • Knowledge of JIRA & Confluence.
  • Able to “smell smoke” for significant project risk and be able to drive solutions across the team to head off challenges before they occur.
  • Experience building roadmaps, project/release plans with strong knowledge of dependency management skills.
  • Experienced with communicating across multiple platforms with producers, artists, designers, engineers, development partners, marketing, legal, and executive teams.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent at Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Excellent follow-up skills.
  • Participated in the full development cycle and shipped at least 1 complete AAA project.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, handling tight deadlines and ability to solve practical problems, while being adaptable to handle dynamic situations on the fly.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Experience working with and leading teams from various countries around the world, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
  • A strong appreciation for diverse perspectives and the ability to integrate these into the creative process.
  • Passion for video games.
  • Project Management Professional Certification.
  • Agile Project Management Certification.

The base pay range for this position in the state(s) above is $103,200 to $214,800 per year. Actual pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as other medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the specific position offered.
