The Localization Project Manager oversees the end-to-end localization process for Activision's video game titles, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery to a global audience while maintaining cultural authenticity and linguistic accuracy. Responsibilities include managing localization timelines and budgets, collaborating with internal and external teams (translators, audio professionals), maintaining localization asset repositories, overseeing quality assurance, ensuring cultural alignment and regulatory compliance, managing vendor relationships, integrating localization into game builds, and monitoring KPIs to continuously improve processes. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in localization project management within the gaming industry, a strong understanding of game development, proficiency in localization tools, excellent project management and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Your Mission
 

Come join us and be part of the team who are responsible for localizing some of the biggest video game titles in the industry!!
 

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Games Localization Project Manager to join our team based in Dublin, Ireland. You will oversee the end-to-end localization process for our video game titles. You will be responsible for ensuring our games reach a global audience while maintaining cultural authenticity and linguistic accuracy.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the localization process for multiple game titles, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Develop and oversee localization timelines, budgets, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (game development, QA, marketing, etc.) and external vendors (translators, audio).
  • Maintain a centralized repository for localization assets, including glossaries, style guides, and translation memory tools.
  • Oversee linguistic and functional quality assurance, identifying and resolving localization issues.
  • Ensure localization aligns with cultural nuances and regulatory requirements for different regions.
  • Manage relationships with localization vendors, negotiating contracts and service level agreements.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure localization is integrated seamlessly into game builds.
  • Monitor localization KPIs and continuously improve processes based on feedback and analytics.

     

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in localization project management, ideally within the gaming industry.
  • Strong understanding of game development pipelines and localization workflows.
  • Proficiency in localization tools such as CAT tools, translation management systems, and QA platforms.
  • Excellent project management skills with experience using tools like Project, Jira, Trello, or Asana.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with localization vendors and managing multilingual projects.
  • Familiarity with voice-over production and subtitle localization processes.
  • Passion for gaming and an understanding of player expectations in different regions.
  • Certification in project management (PMP, Agile, etc.) is a plus.
     

AI & Technology Advantage:

  • Understanding of AI-driven localization tools and machine translation (e.g., Large Language Models, AI-assisted QA).
  • Experience working with AI-powered workflow automation to enhance translation efficiency.
  • Awareness of AI's role in linguistic quality control and how to effectively integrate human oversight.
