Job Description & Summary

We ensure that companies uphold their sustainability ambitions, and we help them in taking it to the next level. How we achieve this? By combining different perspectives, audit skills and passion with the latest technology. As Manager ESG Assurance, you not only audit ESG information at clients, mainly focused on CSRD assurance, but you also help PwC's entire audit practice take this step, while developing yourself as a true ESG specialist.

What will you be doing?

With our expertise, we want to make the world a bit more sustainable. By being a part of a committed core team of sustainability auditors and working closely together with the wider ESG Reporting team you will audit CSRD reporting for our major clients, and support audit teams to get the other clients ready.
Our work environment is open, personal, flexible and focused on the development of you as a professional. We also have regular dinners, drinks and activities!

As a Manager (RA), you will audit the CSRD and other ESG reporting of our clients; mostly large (listed) companies. These projects have short turnarounds and require methodologically strong choices. For clients, you are point of contact of the assurance team and work closely with the engagement leader and senior associates. You will also support PwC's broader audit practice and learn to conduct client discussions as an ESG specialist.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Working together in a team and overseeing the development, planning and implementation of an assurance plan for CSRD and ESG information of companies
  • Review CSRD reporting / ESG information at companies, for example KPI’s such as carbon emissions of a client with technical installations or safety incidents in an international environment.
  • Develop yourself on ESG reporting guidelines such as CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy and GHG Protocol.
  • Investigate and answer questions on ESG regulations with colleagues.
  • Co-develop tools, templates and presentations on CSRD reporting and assurance.
  • Manage smaller other engagements for our clients, such as workshops and CSRD readiness assessments.

Does this describe you?

You value quality. You can switch quickly between different activities and are good at setting priorities. You like to take responsibility and your entrepreneurial character makes you think in opportunities. In addition, you have:

  • A master’s degree;
  • A Registered Auditor registration at the NBA (for equivalence, contact our recruiter);
  • 5+ years of relevant working experience;
  • Knowledge of sustainability regulations such as: CSRD, ESRS, EU Taxonomy
  • Experience with independently performing audit/assurance work and leading a team, working together with the engagement leader.

What are we offering?
At PwC, you will have the opportunity to be yourself, get the best out of yourself in a high-performance organisation and grow within our global network. As part of our team we offer:

  • A competitive salary, permanent contract, attractive pension plan and the opportunity to grow;
  • Customised training for professional growth and leadership development;
  • Motivating work environment where collaboration with ambitious colleagues and recognition for your contributions are highly valued;
  • Comprehensive benefits including "well-being budget" for physical and mental health;
  • Flexibility of hybrid working, including ergonomic home office and fixed expense allowance including internet allowance;
  • Attractive mobility options, including electric lease car, car waiver allowance and the possibility of using different shared transport providers;
  • 30 vacation days per year.

These are just a handful of our terms of employment. Find more information on our website.
