Position Intro
This is a supervisory role managing the areas of production management, purchasing and facilities at Capcom USA, Inc. The role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and must be able to take direction and apply their knowledge to independently conceptualize, plan and execute assigned goals while adhering to company policies and procedures. Must be able to work seamlessly with all levels within the organization.
The role is responsible for direct management of two individual contributors to oversee and ensure the successful execution of departmental initiatives and operations. Works with staff to conceptualize and implement process improvements and best practices. Further, the role will be responsible for providing career mentorship to their direct reports.
Production Operations Management: The role will be responsible for production management of Capcom games, including, but not limited to materials planning, purchasing, production coordination, and scheduling to successfully complete the production process and meet the street release date for new games and other deliverables.
 
Purchasing and Vendor Management: In addition to fulfilling purchasing needs above, the role will be responsible for the purchasing needs of Capcom’s day-to-day business operations. The role will take ownership of efficient and timely turnaround on purchasing requests received from within the organization for needed goods and services.
 
Inventory Management: Works with Vantiva on a daily/quarterly (reporting) basis to maintain the accuracy of inventory. For any discrepancies, performs root cause analysis to make sure the causes are identified, and that corrective/preventive actions are taken.
 
Facilities Management: Ability to manage day-to-day facilities functions of San Francisco and Los Angeles offices which include managing service providers and vendors, which include custodial, building maintenance, construction, and on-site security. First point of contact for any security matters that occur at Capcom’s facilities. 
 
Provides a safe, clean and well-maintained lobby and facilities. Provides great customer service that ensures all visitors, inquiries and deliveries are directed to the correct person/department. Works with company management for the interior design of the building and working with furniture and ergonomic providers.

  • Manages two staff.
Responsibilities:
  • Production:
    • Production Management
      • Oversee the production of all new and re-order titles. 
      • Manages production project management database 
    • Materials Planning
      • Process new titles from Bill of Materials (BOM) to set up build and purchase requests. Fulfills reorders as necessary.  
      • Maintain updated PO log for both vendor and sales dept.
  • Purchasing:
    • Purchasing Management
      • Oversee the purchasing of all non-production goods and service requests
    • Buyer/Purchasing 
      • Responsible for vendor analysis, negotiation, and selection
      • Process new purchase requests
      • Maintain weekly and monthly reports
      • Input all production and non-production purchase requests
      • Manages the internal vendor management database
  • Performs cross-training within department
  • Inventory:
    • Inventory Management:
      • Maintain daily inventory duties, including receipts, reconciliation, etc. 
      • Maintain quarterly inventory reconciliation.
      • Participates in physical inventory process if necessary.
      • Improve operational systems, processes, and best practices
  • Facilities Management:
      • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Capcom facilities. Ensures that office areas are operational, safe and in good working order. Responsible for tracking O&M expenses against fiscal budget.
      • Point of contact with building management for facility-related matters for the SF and LA Offices and one offsite warehouse.
      • Ensures the safety and security of Capcom employees. First point of contact for building security matters, including security alarm alerts. Responsible for managing security and emergency-related incidents. Point of contact between Capcom and Building Management for emergency evacuation and management.
      • Oversee service providers, vendors, and on-site security
      • Maintain the interior design of the building, including furniture, ergonomics, seating assignments and visual displays.  
      • Schedule maintenance and repairs of office areas; including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, etc.
      • Responsible for all facilities-related compliance. Ensures all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and procedures.
      • Manages Corporate Programs
        • Card key access
        • Mail and shipping programs
        • May be requested to participate as a member of select internal committees

Required Experience:
  • This role requires both academic and real-world business experience.  At least 7 or more years of experience with 3 or more years of management experience in the field of operations field in purchasing, production, inventory, or facilities.  Must have supervisory experience.
  • At least 5 year’s experience in supply chain management and project management.
  • Facilities management a plus.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Due to the nature of this position, this role will require the incumbent to be in the office 5 days a week during core hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Able to provide supervisory management and mentorship to direct subordinates to increase performance and efficiency
  • Able to guide and improve department to meet company goals and vision by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to organize, meet deadlines, multi-task, and be flexible
  • Able to perform independently as well as in a team
  • Must have success and experience leading negotiation with vendors
  • Excellent customer service skills to work with internally and with suppliers at all levels
  • Strong computer skills in apps such as for Microsoft Office and major MRP such as SAP
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and prioritizing skills. Sets plan in motion and drives them to solution.
Education:
  • B.S. in Business Administration or equivalent.

Ability to lift objects of up to 50 pounds in weight.  Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Salary Range:
$100,000 - $130,000 *Compensation is based on current market trends for the San Francisco Bay Area and will be determined based on relevant factors including, but not limited to, industry knowledge, experience, qualification, and skill set.
