Position Description
Redhorse Corporation is seeking a Policy Analyst to support the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (OUSD(I&S)) Policy Office at the Pentagon. The Policy Office has implemented a shared responsibility model to better formulate, coordinate, and prioritize policy development. This position offers a timely opportunity to be a part of this game-changing and high-visibility effort.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate policy staff actions across the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC).
Coordinate Secretary of Defense (SecDef) and Under Secretary of Defense (Intelligence and Security) (USD(I&S)) issuances in accordance with Office of the USD(I&S) standard operating procedures outlined in DoDI 5025.01, including coordinating with other DoD elements as appropriate.
Evaluate USD(I&S) policy documents and issuances to ensure they fulfill Defense Intelligence, CI, security, intelligence-related, and law enforcement needs for policy guidance and conform to established Office of SecDef standards.
Evaluate policy documents and issuances from other DoD components to ensure they appropriately reflect Defense Intelligence, CI, security, law enforcement, intelligence-related, and law enforcement equities.
Ensure IC policies are reviewed by the OUSD(I&S) staff and other DoD components with equities in the policy.
Identify and resolve problems that arise during issuance development process; evaluate alternatives; provide recommendations for solutions to OUSD(I&S) Primary and Alternate Policy Focal Points; and give presentations and briefings as required.
Resolve issues raised in the coordination of policy across the Federal government via participation in DoD, IC, and inter-agency meetings and working groups.
Minimum Basic Requirements for Skills, Experience, Education, and Credentials include:
Required: Must have an active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.
Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience working within DoD and have experience coordinating DoD issuances.
Highly preferred: Experience with the DoD Issuance Portal System and the USD(I&S) Policy Portal.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree.
