This position is responsible for the production and operational needs of the ESPN Creative Studio departments in New York, Bristol, and Charlotte. This position will deal directly with all members of the Production and Operations team to help provide support and production assistance to producers and creative personnel. In addition, the candidate is expected to provide production support and manpower for all of Consumer Marketing when requested.
Responsibilities:
Primary duties include assisting both domestic and International producers before promo edit sessions.
Coordinating materials and resources necessary to produce on-air promos, booking voiceovers, gathering materials for edit sessions, and occasionally covering sessions throughout the day.
The PA will work closely with senior production staff, ensuring that all materials are in place for edit sessions and Live Action shoots.
The PA will also be given the opportunity to edit on our internal system, Adobe Premiere Pro, thus being able to prepare presentation reels for marketing purposes.
The PA will be responsible for ensuring our internal storage and marketing archiving are in working order and can pull footage from various servers when asked.
The PA will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating shoots, both internally and remotely on-site, from time to time. This may include booking talent, creating production calendars, tracking costs, and assisting producers in pre-production.
Provide support in whatever capacity it is required. Everything from clipping footage, internet research, and assisting in the scheduling of edit sessions with internal/external editing facilities fall into their purview.
The hours will be long, but the candidate will be in a highly-charged learning environment. Even though it is in a support capacity, this is an integral position within the Marketing department.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of one year of experience in the television/film production business, preferably at a network or production facility.
The candidate should have a basic understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro and digital media formats, a working knowledge of camera lighting and shoot production, and, most importantly, an understanding of the methods of television production.
The candidate should be able to write clearly and consistently and handle multiple tasks in a highly pressurized environment.
An interest in the creative aspects of advertising and film/television is required.
Candidate should be collaborative, team-oriented, and comfortable in a group atmosphere.
Candidate should have a passion for Sports
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education:
Four-year college degree preferred.
