As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. Responsibilities Manage Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs separately to ensure a safe and compliant workplace and a focus on continuous improvement. Maintain environmental permits/programs to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Monitor and track program performance, identify areas for improvement and implement corrective action plans.Drive the implementation and active maintenance of the site’s ISO 14001 and any other certification and management systems. Meet regularly with stakeholders (e.g.,Operational Leadership to communicate on performance and requirements). Build trusted relationships with program stakeholders, including managing expectations of program stakeholders and ensuring they have the insights they need to make effective decisions. Design and deliver predictable program communication plans in collaboration with program stakeholders, including targeted communications by stakeholder type.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 1 year of experience in program management
  • Experience in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) management, and managing EHS compliance for industrial facilities
  • Ability to communicate in Finnish fluently in order to communicate with local authorities on regulatory topics
  • Manage Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs
  • Maintain environmental permits/programs
  • Monitor and track program performance
  • Drive the implementation and active maintenance of the site’s ISO 14001
Good to have:
  • Certification from Board of Certified Safety Professionals, NEBOSH or related agencies
  • Experience communicating with Finnish National and Local Authorities regarding EHS issues
  • Experience in the Data Center or other electrical safety industry
  • Knowledge of EHS regulations in Finland
  • Ability to coach, influence and advise local employees and leadership stakeholders to achieve positive EHS outcomes
  • Excellent collaboration, project management, and written and verbal communication skills

Minimum qualifications:
