Job Description

The Regional National Sales Manager will be responsible for national sales efforts of KTMD-Houston, KTLM-McAllen, KVDA-San Antonio, and KTDO-El Paso. This role involves executing sales strategies, formulating sales goals, providing revenue forecasting, supporting sales teams, acquiring new business, and managing digital revenue strategies. The candidate will need to work aggressively, creatively, and proactively to achieve revenue goals. The role requires maintaining communication, identifying local decision-makers, and growing potential partnerships to foster a successful sales culture.
Must have:
  • Execute sales strategies and drive revenue growth.

  • Acquire new business and grow existing partnerships.
  • Achieve new business revenue goals.
  • Develop and manage go-to-market presentations for digital revenue.

  • Identify and meet with local decision-makers.
  • Actively seek feedback from customers.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of broadcast media sales experience.
Good to have:
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred
  • Industry contacts, client list including both agencies and client direct contacts
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal communications skills
  • Experience selling OTT/Streaming/Digital packages and knowledge of competitive digital media landscape
  • Experience with multi-platform campaigns
  • Knowledge of sales computer applications
  • Ability to quickly understand and size up opportunity

Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

The Regional National Sales Manager will be responsible for national sales efforts of KTMD-Houston, KTLM-McAllen, KVDA-San Antonio, and KTDO-El Paso. The successful candidate will sell our linear and non-linear product portfolio which provides Spanish and English-language marketing solutions for businesses to reach Hispanic and non-Hispanic audiences. This position will report to the VP of Sales in Houston.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Execute sales strategies and initiatives to drive revenue growth and ensure success in achieving the company’s and clients’ business objectives.
  • Work with each national sales office to formulate sales goals and competitive strategies to drive sales and revenue, while providing detailed forecasting of national sales revenue by office for each market.
  • Provide quick response and turnaround to the national sales teams and deliver on timelines and commitments.
  • Support teams in the execution and stewardship of sold campaigns.
  • Work aggressively and creatively to acquire new business and grow existing partnerships.
  • Responsible for achieving new business revenue goals and monitoring the progress of target accounts.
  • Develop and manage strategy and go-to-market presentations for Digital and Multi-Platform revenue within assigned agency/client scope.
  • Partner with internal peers and associated cross-functional teams to innovate and scale solution enhancements required to accelerate revenue.
  • Maintain effective communications with leadership and assist with pricing strategies, inventory management, and revenue forecasting for all assigned markets.
  • Identify and meet with local decision-makers impacting national buys.
  • Proactively grow and maintain a network for potential partnerships. 
  • Actively seek feedback from customers relative to the team’s processes and performance.
  • Support a high-energy sales culture that fosters success, enthusiasm, and a winning atmosphere.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of broadcast media sales experience.
  • A demonstrated record of growing market share and outperforming the market.
  • Ability to understand the big picture and long-term objectives, positive mental attitude, sense of professionalism, team orientation, resourcefulness, and client focus.
  • Excellent communication skills, initiative, creativity, detail-oriented, organizational and analytical skills required.
  • Strong sense of drive and ambition
  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice when circumstances warrant
  • Must be willing to work in Dallas, TX.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have access to a vehicle and excellent driving history. Must provide proof of current valid U.S. driver's license.
