The Research and Insights Director, Global Marketing will lead the development and execution of the global research strategy, providing insights to guide business decisions and marketing strategies. This role involves overseeing market research, consumer behavior analysis, competitive intelligence, and campaign performance metrics. Responsibilities include creating research strategies, analyzing consumer behavior, monitoring campaign performance, collaborating with various teams, presenting findings to senior leaders, mentoring a team, and staying updated on market trends. The candidate will need to clearly present business strategies concisely and persuasively to executives and key stakeholders.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in market research or data analytics.
  • Exceptional communication skills in written and verbal form.
  • Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods and data analysis.
  • Experience in media planning and performance metrics.
Good to have:
  • Experience in the adtech or media industry.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and develop a team.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a Research and Insights Director, Global Marketing to join our Global Marketing team, to lead, develop and execute our global research strategy. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING 

In your day-to-day role, you’ll be part of the Central Marketing leadership team, but the exciting thing about the role is that you will be speaking to everyone. From our immediate global and local marketing and product marketing teams, to our commercial teams, product people, data and analytics teams, and more. You will lead the development and execution of research strategies, providing actionable insights that guide business decisions, marketing strategies, and compelling narratives that can be used across multiple channels. You will oversee market research, consumer behavior analysis, competitive intelligence, and campaign performance metrics. 

In your role, you’ll be doing things like:

  • Create research strategies to support business goals and audience interests aligned with our broader marketing strategy. 
  • Work closely with our inhouse data and analytics team to create insights on consumer behavior and media consumption patterns as well as consumer and advertising research partners to compile insights on industry trends, and competitor activities. 
  • Monitor and assess the performance of our marketing campaigns working with our marketing operations team to recommend optimizations.
  • Work closely with teams across the business, and present to senior leaders to ensure insights inform and drive business objectives and strategies.
  • Work closely with our content team to connect research and insights to our brand and consideration campaigns. 
  • Mentor a team of research and data analysts, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Create compelling presentations that clearly communicate research findings and insights to senior leadership, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends, tools, and methodologies in market research, media, and advertising to ensure cutting-edge insights are consistently delivered.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in market research, data analytics, or a similar role, with a focus on media and advertising.
  • Experience in the adtech or media industry is desired. 
  • Exceptional communication skills, both in written and verbal form. A strong ability to engage and persuade varying audiences, even on technical subjects. They will need to demonstrate an ability to clearly present business strategies concisely and persuasively to executives and key stakeholders.
  • Proven expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., SPSS, Excel, Tableau).
  • Experience working with media planning, buying, and performance metrics across digital, TV, print, and social media channels.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage, mentor, and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, advertising trends, and media consumption.
  • Commercially driven.

Pay Transparency 

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in London, MiQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to London and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At MiQ, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current base compensation range for this position is £75,000 - £110,000. This range may vary for positions outside of London as it has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled and does not take into account our bonus and commission structures.
