The Safety Coordinator II is responsible for overseeing the facility's safety programs and initiatives. This includes regular inspections to ensure safe practices, equipment utilization, and operational machine/process guards. The coordinator investigates accidents, identifies causes, and implements corrective measures in collaboration with management. They develop safety programs, conduct new hire training, and provide ongoing employee training on machinery operation. Additional responsibilities include chairing the Safety Committee, managing safety-related product inventory, ensuring first aid and CPR training, coordinating inspections, monitoring the hearing conservation program, coordinating employee work duties with medical restrictions, and maintaining communication with management, HR, and claims administrators. They maintain OSHA 300 logs, prepare reports, and perform other duties as required.
