As a Senior Search Backend Engineer at Meltwater, you'll play a vital role in building cutting-edge social solutions for our global client base within the Explore mission. Meltwater development teams take full ownership of their subsystems and infrastructure, including running on-call rotations. With a heavy reliance on AWS services, Elastics Search, Lambda, Terraform, and other technologies, we seek individuals with experience in search engines, big data analytics, infrastructure, systems engineering, and distributed systems.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to push the boundaries of our technology stack, from modifying open-source libraries to innovating with existing technologies. What You'll Bring:

• BE/BTech in Computer Science or equivalent degree or demonstrable experience
• Experience (4+ years) in software development of distributed systems
• Experience (4+ years) with Cloud infrastructure & Containerization (EC2, S3, SQS)
• Experience (3+ years) in large-scale search engines, such as ElasticSearch or equivalent
• Experience with Java and Kotlin
• Good conversational English
• 8+ years working experience
• Parallel programming and Distributed Systems
• Streaming and reactive data processing (e.g., Kafka)
• Large-scale data processing (e.g., map-reduce)
• Tech Stack: Java, Elastic Search, Kafka, Spring, AWS, Kotlin.
