The Endpoint Protection Services, an organization led by Microsoft’s Chief Information Security Officer, enables Microsoft to deliver the most trusted devices and services. The vision is to ensure all information and services are protected, secured, and available for appropriate use through innovation and a robust risk framework. 

Microsoft Security, CISO org is looking for a seasoned service engineer to be part of the end point protection management team. As a service engineer, your core responsibility will be to keep all the end point systems free from vulnerabilities and enable security controls to make sure that the connecting devices are healthy from a security perspective. You will closely work with the Microsoft Product Group (PG) team, project managers and IT service team in a partnership, which will allow complex security controls to be developed, automated, and deployed in a manner that provides a high level of assurance on their effectiveness.

This role requires the ability to drive impact across a geographically dispersed team in an inclusive global security operations group.

• 6+ years of experience in design and development of systems using Azure/Cloud services like Azure Synapse Analytics, Log Analytics, Azure app services, Web jobs, Application insights and Azure app configurations etc.
• Experience developing and managing scalable cloud services using Azure Synapse Analytics. Proven track record in delivering reliable, scalable and highly performant end-to-end solutions.
• Hands on experience with building data queries, analytics with database technologies such as SQL Server and Kusto and Azure Data Lake Storage. Ability to create visualization and insights reporting with Power Bi tool.
• Experience in automating and developing with Power Shell, Python, Pyspark/Jupyter notebooks.
• Good understanding of information security concepts, endpoint security and prior working experience in the Security domain is an added advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Leverages end-to-end technical expertise in large scale distributed systems' infrastructure, code, inter- and intra-service dependencies, and operations to improve the reliability, performance, efficiency, latency, and scalability of services proactively and continuously and/or products operating at scale.
• Work on end-to-end expose, transform & load (ETL) data integration process, setting up CI/CD pipelines for security telemetry and reporting insights/trends with reporting tools, which affect Microsoft cloud services and infrastructure.
• Read, write, configure, design, and script end-to-end service telemetry, alerting and self-healing capabilities for platforms. Author functional and technical documentation. Communicate on a deep technical level with product engineering, project management and operations teams to improve and optimize products, improve infrastructure, and evolve services.
• Partner with engineering teams and other stakeholders to understand the requirements and convert into actionable, develop and deliver efficient technical projects.
• Participates in on-call rotations to resolve live site incidents, minimize customer impact, and document solutions and insights that inform ongoing improvements to infrastructure, code, tools, and/or processes that prevent the recurrence of similar issues.
