Description

As a Senior Art Director, you'll bring a true creative vision, paired with first-class conceptual abilities and a knack for producing stunning, globally appealing concepts. You'll be confident in creating and debating ideas, as well as managing and directing videos and other novel visual experinces.

As an exceptional creative thinker, you'll lead by example, inspiring and mentoring creative teams and freelancers. You'll have an infectious enthusiasm and a natural flair for presenting, with the ability to build genuine client relationships and take them on a creative journey.

You'll set the creative bar high, bringing intrinsic design skills, strong typography, acute attention to detail, solid organisational abilities, and expertise across various industries (fashion, home, electronics, sports). Driven to tell stories that connect with customers, you'll be passionate about doing what's right for Amazon's customers.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead the creative vision and design solutions for our video content across all business categories, including fashion, furniture, consumables, and media.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of commercial creativity, brand development, digital trends, and multichannel marketing approaches.
  • Excel at communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, and creative problem-solving.
  • Mentor and inspire global teams, attracting and retaining top creative talent.
  • Analyze promotion performance data, including metric tests and usability studies, to steer the direction of future video content.
  • Experience in integrating novel video production and post-production technology for workflows i.e. Virtual-Production, Gen- AI)
  • Direct and evolve the creative positioning of Amazon.com's video assets, including look, feel, tone, and photography, for both the website and offline marketing activities.

Your expertise in video production and post-production, combined with your ability to translate brand vision into compelling visual narratives, will be crucial in elevating the customer experience across Amazon's diverse offerings.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of design experience
  • Experience art directing motion designers, illustrators, writers and content creators
  • Experience partnering with technical partners for design implementation
  • Have an online portfolio demonstrating strong visual design skills and advertising experience across a range of media and platforms, along with work that reflects your design process

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of marketing fundamentals and ability to implement them to create dynamic advertising solutions
  • Knowledge of typographic and brand design principles
  • Knowledge of digital video files including color space, codecs, bit-rates, etc.
