A techanim Lead artist is responsible for advanced creature effects shot work and developing simulation setups for visual effects projects. They are tasked with overseeing and managing all department work on show and developing tools and workflows within the department to support these tasks and in the training of colleagues of said new tools and workflows.
They work closely with Supervisors, Production and the HoD to ensure their show has the right team and tools necessary for delivery, and is delivered on time based on the production schedule.
Key Responsibilities:

No more than 8 tasks
Run dynamic setups on assigned shot
Run environment dynamics setups for wind settings and interaction.
Develop setups and adapt existing builds to facilitate shot work.
Responsible for the timely execution of their tasks and deliver your shots at a scheduled time.
Communicate with your team to ensure quality of shot work and build work matches requirement.
Run Dailies sessions with artists to review their work and provide feedback.
Work with the Senior artists & HoD to develop tools and workflows to improve efficiency
Communicate with HoD, Supervisors and production to flag issues.
Perform any other duties as assigned by your Manager or a Key Business Relationship.
