About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake) to join our dynamic data engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions using Snowflake, SQL, and DBT while ensuring smooth deployment through Azure DevOps. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to build and maintain scalable ETL pipelines and cloud-based data solutions using AWS or Azure.
Required knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of Snowflake, SQL, Git
- Basic experience with dbt Cloud or confirmed training
- Snowflake Architecture knowledge
- Knowledge of agile implementation methods and common project tools (e.g., Azure Devops, Jira)
Role’s expectations:
A Senior Data Engineer should meet the same expectations as Data Engineer and in addition should be able to: Resolve assigned tasks on their own
- Design and implement technical solutions for assigned tasks on their own based on our coding best practices
- Be aware of Client’s infrastructure setup and data pipeline
- Be a technical expert on Snowflake & dbt development
- Create performant solutions following the Snowflake performance best practices
Provide guidance for less experienced Data Engineers
- Guide less experienced Data Engineers in scripting and implementing of solutions
- Support less experienced Data Engineers in getting to know our best practices, infrastructure, and data pipeline
- Answer open technical questions from less experienced Data Engineers
Actively take part in technical discussions
- Raise concerns or any obstacles on tickets, bugs, or suggested solutions proactively
- Discuss technical implementations with the Lead Data Engineer if necessary
- Clarify business related questions / questions on the requirements with the Solution / Product Owner
