Job Description

Cornerstone is seeking a passionate and creative Product Manager to join our team and drive innovation that delights our customers. You will be responsible for understanding customer pain points, partnering with product development to create new solutions, and translating ideas into strategies that lead to new features. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to execute our product roadmap and go-to-market strategy, and collaborate with a global team. Key responsibilities include owning product requirements definition, presenting product initiatives, collaborating with research and design teams, translating business needs into clear priorities, gathering and analyzing product metrics, and identifying new opportunities.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of Product Management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical concepts and manage trade-offs
  • Proven capability translating broader mission into big ideas and tactics
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, writing, and presenting skills
  • Superior quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working directly with customers
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment
  • Experience with Agile software methodologies
  • Deep experience in web technologies, SaaS and API offering required
  • Demonstrated understanding of product management tools (Jira, prioritization methods, roadmap planning tools)
Good to have:
  • Experience in the learning management, talent development and/or learning experience space
  • Prior knowledge of Cornerstone OnDemand

We're looking for a Product Manager This role is Hybrid, Pune Office

Cornerstone is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Product Manager to join our Product team to help drive innovation that will delight our customers. We are looking for someone who will relentlessly pursue understanding of our customer pain points and partner with product development to drive new product solutions that drive customer value and ROI. In this role you will translate ideas into strategies that lead to new features and will follow product development from start to finish.

In this role, you will be a key member of the product team responsible for delivering solutions that improve a flagship product while innovating for the future. This role will collaborate closely with sales, customer success, design, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to support execution of our product roadmap, and product go-to-market strategy. This role sits within a global organization, and you will be required to work with a global team.

In this role you will...

  • Own product requirements definition from conception to launch
  • Present product initiatives and vision to customers, prospects, and industry analysts
  • Collaborate with research and design team members to generate concept designs and prototypes for new features and products
  • Work with design and distributed engineering teams to translate business needs into clear priorities, a compelling roadmap, and high-impact, innovative features
  • Gather and analyze product metrics and feedback from customers and cross-functional teams to steer the product roadmap
  • Understand and lead analysis of market trends, competitive environment, and product metrics to identify new opportunities and guide development

You’ve Got What It Takes If You Have...

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of Product Management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts and manage trade-offs, and work cross-functionally with engineering, design and marketing/business counterparts to deliver SaaS products
  • Ability to communicate with design resources to bring design prototypes to life
  • Proven capability translating broader mission into big ideas and tactics
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize requirements across conflicting dimensions and to be clear on the minimum capabilities that matter
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, writing, and presenting skills
  • Have written multiple vision/strategy documents and PRD’s
  • Superior quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Ability to brainstorm, think outside the box, and engage with others for guidance and feedback
  • Proven record of working with technical teams with strength and aptitude to defend your ideas
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired
  • Experience working directly with customers
  • Ability to identify customer’s major problems and unarticulated needs through various methods like feedback sessions, and surveys
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
  • Has worked in highly collaborative companies across time zones
  • Consideration for privacy and security obligations
  • Industry knowledge of recruiting, talent management, learning management, reporting and compliance
  • Demonstrated understanding of product management tools to include Jira, prioritization methods, and roadmap planning tools. Deep experience in web technologies, SaaS and API offering required
  • Experience with Agile software methodologies
