This Senior Scrum Master role requires 6+ years of experience leading and managing agile practices for multiple teams in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include facilitating Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives), coaching team members on Agile principles and Scrum practices, removing obstacles, acting as a bridge between development teams and stakeholders, promoting continuous improvement, tracking Agile metrics, and fostering collaboration. The ideal candidate will have experience with distributed and co-located teams in software development, particularly with digital products/apps, APIs, and microservices. Experience managing multiple Scrum teams and scaling Agile practices in large organizations is a plus. A CSM or A-CSM certification is required.
Must have:
  • 6+ years Scrum Master experience
  • Agile framework expertise (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
  • Experience with distributed teams
  • CSM/A-CSM certification
  • Strong facilitation & conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency in Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
  • Excellent communication & leadership skills
Good to have:
  • Experience scaling Agile in large organizations
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and DevOps
  • Familiarity with product management tools
Project description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Scrum Master to lead and manage agile practices for multiple teams in a fast-paced, innovative environment. As a Senior Scrum Master, you will play a critical role in fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will guide teams to deliver high-quality products while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring they are productive and focused.

Coach Teams: Mentor team members on Agile principles and Scrum practices, empowering them to deliver value consistently.

Remove Obstacles: Identify and resolve impediments, enabling teams to maintain a steady pace of work.

Stakeholder Communication: Act as a bridge between development teams, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment on priorities.

Promote Continuous Improvement: Encourage teams to analyze processes and workflows, adopting changes that improve efficiency and outcomes.

Metrics and Reporting: Track and communicate key Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts) to provide insights and drive informed decision-making.

Foster Collaboration: Build strong, trusting relationships across teams and departments to create an environment of shared success.

Manage Scale: Oversee multiple Scrum teams while maintaining focus on their individual needs and performance.

Skills

Must have

Experience:

6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment.

Proven track record of working with distributed and co-located teams in a software development setting.

Experience in Digital and/or Apps

Experience of API's and microservices

Certifications:

Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM), or equivalent certification.

Skills:

Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).

Strong facilitation and conflict-resolution skills.

Proficiency in Agile tools like JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Mindset:

Positive can-do attitude

Open and adaptable to performing a variety of roles including deputising for project manager or release train manager

Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their best work.

Cultural awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to work effectively in diverse teams.

Nice to have

Experience with scaling Agile practices in large organizations.

Knowledge of Lean principles and DevOps practices.

Familiarity with product management tools and frameworks.
