Job Description

The Senior Growth Data Analyst will play a key role in analyzing user acquisition funnels, activation journeys, and lifecycle performance to identify bottlenecks and opportunities. They will evaluate marketing campaign effectiveness, recommend optimization strategies, and act as a primary data partner for the Marketing & Growth team. The analyst will also collaborate with data engineers to improve data reliability and accessibility, build and maintain dashboards, and mentor stakeholders on using analytics tools effectively. Responsibilities include analyzing UA and lifecycle data, enhancing reporting on campaign attribution, and making recommendations to decrease CAC and increase LTV.
Must have:
  • Proficient with SQL and familiar with Python for data analysis.
  • Experience in data visualization and reporting tools (Looker, Amplitude).
  • Understanding of event tracking and related tools.
  • Basic understanding of data engineering and ETL processes.

About this role

Come write the second chapter to the budding epic adventure that is the Data Analysis department at Yubo ! We’re looking to expand upon the building blocks we have set in the past few months. To do so, we’re looking for our next Data Analyst, specifically for our growing Growth & Marketing team !

As the Growth & Marketing Data Analyst at Yubo, you’ll play a critical role in accelerating our growth by uncovering insights across the entire user journey - from first touch to long-term retention. You will be the premier partner to our Marketing and Product teams to optimize acquisition funnels, measure campaign performance and help us scale sustainably through identifying high-leverage opportunities.

With a modern data stack already in place (dbt, Looker, Trino, Iceberg), you’ll be empowered to focus on high-impact analysis and collaboration, not plumbing.

  • Your Responsibilities

  • You will play a key role in analyzing our user acquisition funnels, activation journeys and lifecycle performance to identify bottlenecks and opportunity. In doing so, you will evaluate marketing campaign effectiveness and recommend optimization strategies.
  • You will act as the primary data partner for the Marketing & Growth team, while collaborating closely with Product Growth, both to help them translate business questions into analytical problems, but also help define and align on shared KPIs to measure their impact.
  • You will also work closely with data engineers to improve data reliability, accessibility and usability, as well as establish clear processes for requesting new data models or adapting existing ones.
  • You will build and maintain dashboards to provide self-service access to critical KPIs for the Marketing & Growth team in particular, create custom reports when required for different stakeholders on specific areas such as campaign performance, CAC, retention, LTV, churn among other metrics.
  • To that regard, you will also act as a mentor to train stakeholders on how to use analytics tools effectively, how to interpret data correctly and use the appropriate level of analytics for the need.
  • Tools we use

  • Languages: SQL and Python
  • Query engine: Trino
  • Data viz and dashboarding: Looker
  • Product and behavioural analytics: Amplitude
  • Workflow management: Airflow
  • Data transformation: dbt
  • Who you are

  • You are perfectly proficient with SQL and familiar with other languages like Python for data analysis and scripting for workflow automation
  • You have previously worked at a mobile-first company, where you partnered closely with Marketing and Product teams to drive growth through data.
  • You are an expert in data visualization and reporting tools such as Looker or Amplitude, and are used to creating and maintaining dashboards used by various teams and leadership.
  • You have a strong understanding on event tracking and tools used to that end.
  • You have a basic understanding of data engineering and the ability to collaborate on data schemas, transformations and ETL processes. Collaboration with Data Engineers will be a key part of this position.
  • You strive to understand the business on a very deep level and provide highly relevant insight to both operational teams and leadership
  • Within a month, you will

  • Be familiar with existing data models, dashboards and tools (with the data engineering team’s guidance)
  • Have built relationships with your main stakeholders, understood key business goals for the Marketing team as their main data partner.
  • Do a deep dive into our current UA and lifecycle data models, campaigns, and metrics.
  • Within 3 months, you will

  • Audit and enhance reporting on campaign attribution, CAC, and LTV across channels.
  • Work with the UA team to analyze performance by geography, platform, and creative.
  • Align teams on definitions (e.g., active user, conversion, retention) and ensure metrics are documented and trusted.
  • Within 6 months, you will

  • Have made several recommendations to successfully decrease CAC and increase LTV.
  • Have rolled out dashboards that provide significant improvement in the Marketing & Growth team’s operations monitoring.
