Company Description

Nine is Australia’s largest locally owned media company. Working at Nine, you’ll have access to a unique range of experiences and opportunities, helping drive the success of the country’s most trusted television, radio, digital and publishing brands.

Our content reaches almost every Australian - meaning what we do has real impact. We bring people together, celebrate the big moments, and capture the everyday ones.

Some of our most beloved brands have been part of Australian life for generations, and others - new on the scene - have already found their place firmly in our lives. We’re evolving and we need people like you to bring new ideas, innovate and make your mark.

Job Description

We’re looking for a passionate Senior People and Culture Business Partner to support Nine’s media divisions including broadcast, streaming and publishing.

Your remit will be to truly embed yourself in this dynamic business and provide wide ranging strategic support and advice.  Leveraging the strength of the wider People & Culture group functions (Operations, Talent, Case Management, Leadership Development, etc.) you will play a critical role in leading organisational change and cultural transformation initiatives.

You will partner closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to develop and embed strategies that inspire engagement, drive performance, and align with our strategic goals and values during a time of significant evolution.

This is more than a traditional P&C role, it's an opportunity to be a strategic partner and catalyst for change!

Day to day you will:

  • Partner with and influence Executives and Senior Managers to deliver transformation and change management strategies that support organisational goals
  • Lead initiatives focused on shaping a high-performance, inclusive, and purpose-driven culture
  • Provide expert guidance on the people impacts of organisational redesign, restructures, and change programs
  • Co-design and deliver learning and development programs
  • Lead change initiatives and manage projects
  • Provide employment law advice and work with external legal counsel
  • Develop HR metrics and reports for presentation at Board and Executive levels

Qualifications

You will be a seasoned HR professional, confident in your ability to influence and drive change with senior leaders. You are adept at operating strategically to build, develop and deliver programs. You are a true team player with a flexible, can-do approach to their work, who is comfortable in an environment that is not always black and white.

You thrive when given the opportunity to think outside the box, and love the opportunity to be innovative in order to solve problems and drive outcomes.

What you’ll bring:

  • Extensive experience as a HR Business Partner in fast-paced, complex environments.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating with and influencing Executives and Senior Managers to deliver proactive and commercially focussed HR solutions that are aligned business needs and people strategy.
  • Solid knowledge of Australian employment law and experience advising management.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs aligned with business goals.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver results in dynamic settings.
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or a related field
  • Experience working in unionised environments or with Award-covered employee groups will be well regarded

Additional Information

Our employee benefits include:

  • 18 weeks paid parental leave with no distinction between primary and secondary carers
  • Access to 'Employee Exclusives' program - a way of getting closer to our incredible brands, offering unique experiences, behind-the-scenes access, and awesome perks
  • Digital newspaper subscription to our mastheads
  • Annual gift voucher for Stan subscription
