Microsoft is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, validate, and implement the next generation of platform infrastructure for Microsoft Fabric. This role requires end-to-end ownership of deliverables, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a focus on building scalable, secure, and reliable backend services. Responsibilities include ensuring service performance, participating in code reviews, writing unit and integration tests, and contributing to process improvements. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in software engineering with proficiency in languages like SQL, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. The role involves responding to and mitigating live site issues impacting customers. This position is part of the Azure Data team, building and maintaining the operating system for the Microsoft Fabric platform.

Must Have:

4+ years experience

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, SQL, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Take up end-to-end ownership of deliverables and produce viable solutions.
